Marketing Support Scheme

Financial Assistance to SC/ST, Women Entrepreneurs (MSME) and Artisans of Karnataka to participate in various exhibitions held in the state/outside the state

Scheme Details:
a) Eligibility

  •  All artisans, women, and SC/ST entrepreneurs of registered Micro and Small Scale units are eligible.
  •  The scheme will cover National /State Level exhibitions /Fairs organized by Govt. of India, Govt. of    Karnataka and other States
b) Financial Assistance

  • The financial assistance to the participants is as follows:
  • Full stall rentals not exceeding Rs. 10,000/- for their participation in exhibitions outside the State.
  • Full stall rentals not exceeding Rs. 5,000/- for their participation in exhibitions within the State.
  • TA for two persons per stall at 2nd class Railway fare or Common bus fare to the place of exhibition and back.
  • DA for two persons per stall @ Rs. 150/ -per person per day outside the State.
  • DA for two persons per stall @ Rs. 100/ -per person per day within the State.
  • Exhibition period is limited to 15 days and DA will be calculated for one day prior, and one day after all the exhibitions days.

c) Nodal Agency

VTPC is the Nodal agency for implementation of the scheme and the funds required for the scheme would be made available under Infrastructure Support and Trade Promotion – Plan Schemes.


d) Selection Committee
  • The Assistant Director of the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Mangalore/Dharwad/ Mysore will select the artisans for their participation in Dilli Haat and Urban Haat. An officer from the DIC/VTPC will be a Member.
  • Artisans participating in Exhibitions organized by Departments, Boards and Corporations of Government of Karnataka (Industries & Commerce Dept., Textile Dept., K.S.H.D.C., K.H.D.C., K.W.D.C., K.V.I.B., K.V.I.C, Minorities/SC/ST, Development Corporation etc.) will be selected from the respective departments.
  • The Managing Director, VTPC, depending on the availability of funds will decide the number of beneficiaries participating in the exhibitions.
e) Other Conditions

  • Applicant should apply to VTPC after participation in the exhibition in the prescribed format for proper selection. Applications received after 3 months will not be considered.
  • Stall rent / TA/ DA will be reimbursed to the artisans after the due verification of applications by VTPC as per the Government Order. Incomplete and non-eligible applications will be rejected.
  • No TA/DA will be given if the exhibition is in the place where the participant resides.
  • Applicants are eligible for two events in a year (one within the State and one outside the State).
  • Those who have already availed assistance during the year from other Govt. sponsored scheme/(s) are not eligible for assistance under the scheme.
  • Applicants should submit a copy of the ID card issued by KSHDC, the Development Commissioner [Handicrafts] or MSME Registration Certificate issued by DIC.
  • Only products manufactured by the artisans /MSME units are to be displayed and marketed in the exhibition.
  • Caste Certificate issued by the competent authority to be produced by SC /ST Units
